Meet the Captain
and Support Crew
Growing up in Weston, Evan has spent most of his life on or near the Long Island Sound. His love for the water started as a little kid when he swam competitively from the age of 6 through college. Evan was certified in scuba diving at the age of 12 and began traveling with his family to experience the underwater world. In his “fitter” days, Evan competed in numerous triathlons throughout the country, including over 10 Ironman distance races.
As time has passed, Evan's passion for the water did not change and he wanted to share the experiences with his wife Lorraine and daughter Kendall (a.k.a. The Support Crew). After a few smaller boats, he decided to get a boat which was a bit more comfortable so he could spend more time on the water with family and friends.
Upon seeing the joy on all of his guests’ faces during their various excursions, he decided to start Saugatuck Charters to get more local people on the water to help create memories that will last a lifetime.
Evan is a certified captain by the US Coast Guard and is fully trained in First Aid & CPR as well as being a highly proficient swimmer and boater.
